What does discouragement mean?
Discouragement is described in the dictionary as the loss of confidence or enthusiasm.
When a person feels discouraged, he or she loses the confidence and energy to keep on.
To achieve anything in life, we must have the ability to persevere. A person who is discouraged lacks the motivation to keep fighting. Quitters don't win, and winners don't quit.
What are some of the things that might make you feel discouraged?
The biggest dread of discouragement is fear. When we are overpowered by fear, we have a tendency to give up. Fear saps your vitality and paralyses you. The fear of the unknown is common, and you should know that you have nothing to fear.
Failure: This will discourage anyone from trying again until they get the desired goal. You are unlikely to attain your goals on your first try. When they don't see instant results, many people give up, but those that endure and are tenacious will eventually prevail. Your finest strategy may fail; if this happens, think about what went wrong and try again.
Lack of confidence: This may be caused by poor self-esteem and results in a feeling of inadequacy, resulting in an inability to carry out your plan or activity.
The Bible contains divine guidance on how to live a life of victory and peace.
Meditation on these verses in prayer can provide you with the wisdom you need to overcome every sign of discouragement.
