Encouraging Bible verses for overcoming life’s Problems

Encouraging Bible verses for overcoming life’s Problems

Life is often not a bed of roses. There are challenges that may cause you to ponder the meaning of life.  Without a trustworthy source of strength, it is easy to give up but what you need every moment is Bible word of encouragement.

According to Jim Rohn, “Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problems, wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenge, wish for more wisdom.”

Adversity befalls everyone, but it is your ability to overcome it is what sets you apart. When tough times come, it is the tough people that keep going forward with confidence.

King David in the Bible (1Samuel: 1-8) faced a situation that would have made him to lose hope, but he rather chose to believe God.

The worst crisis of his life occurred when his entire family and those of his companions were abducted and their belongings either burnt or carted away. He came to the end of his rope, and he bad situation became worse when his followers blamed him for the calamity and thought of stoning him to death.

Under such a condition, there was no one he could turn to for help or comfort, but to God. Sometimes, God will bring you to a situation whereby all known physical support will fail. It is therefore wise to know what to do before you face major life’s battles.

You need to build your inner strength now and not wait. No soldier goes to battle without adequate training. Train yourself therefore, believe and grow in faith for it is by faith that you overcome.

I hope you will be encouraged and strengthened as you meditate on the following uplifting verses:

1 SAMUEL 30:6 KJV

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Safety is of the Lord – Bible Verses about Safety and Protection

Safety is of the Lord – Bible Verses about Safety and Protection

Life is full of problems that might cause worry and anxiety and situations may emerge that challenge your faith in what you've always relied on.

Regardless of the dangers that surround you, you are instructed in the Bible to put your confidence in God for safety and "He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence" (Psalm 91:3).

Safety is defined as protection from danger, and you are expected to do all in your power to protect yourself. However, your highest level of self-protection is usually insufficient in the absence of divine protection.

There is a sense of security that comes with knowing you are safe, and safety does not imply the absence of danger, but rather active protection in the face of peril.

Bible scriptures will provide you with grace and power to help you through life.

The following scriptures are helpful and will assist in achieving that serenity of mind that only God can provide.

The verses are also available in printable PDF format. Print and cut out the verses that speak to you and position them where you can view (e.g., refrigerator, mirror) and confess them daily.

The Outstanding Power of Prayer

THE OUTSTANDING POWER OF PRAYER

Prayer is described as an address (such as a petition) to God.

Prayer is the key that unlocks the heavenly resources. It is not only a time to make requests to God, but also an opportunity to interact with Him.

The power of prayer stems from the fact that God to whom we pray is the creator of all things - both the visible and invisible. He is a loving Father and ever ready to help.

It is crucial for you to tap into this mighty power of prayer if you desire to live a fulfilling life.

It is such an important activity that our experiences, who we are, and what we become are all influenced by our time in God's Presence. As a result, the Bible exhorts us to pray without ceasing (1Thess. 5:17).

BENEFITS OF PRAYER

  • PRAYER TRANSFORMS YOU

The Prayer of salvation for instance, radically transforms a person – 2Corinthians 5:17 states that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.

  • PRAYER GIVES DIRECTION

God has a plan for you; you are not here on earth by accident. You can get a good understanding of what your life's purpose is and directions on how to fulfill it when you seek God in prayer.

  • PRAYER RELEASES DIVINE POWER

The staying power you need to overcome life challenges comes from the Presence of God. Isaiah 40:31 states that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

  • PRAYER IS THE KEY TO WALKING IN MIRACLES

Miracle is the supernatural intervention of God in the ordinary course of nature.

There are situations that may overwhelm you and you will need God’s intervention in order to overcome. Prayer gives you access to the help you need for such situation.

  • ACCESS TO DIVINE WISDOM

You can receive divine wisdom when you pray. James 1:5 states that if any man lacks wisdom, let him ask.

SCRIPTURAL KEYS TO ANSWERED PRAYER:

  • Prayer must be directed to God the Father in Jesus' Name.
  • Prayer that is answered must be in accordance with God's will as revealed in the scriptures.
  • It must be by faith, and faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Roman 10:17.
  • Your heart condition must be right – free from un-forgiveness, bitterness, doubt and malice.
  • You must come before God with reverence, humility and godly fear.
  • God hears the prayer of His children, and you become His child when you give your heart to Jesus Christ and make Him your Lord and Savior.
